A place of its own

Give chess a home outside your phone.

You open your phone for a game. A message arrives. You check something else. The board is still there, but your attention has moved. Chess, again starts with a simple idea: the game can have a place of its own.

Follow the project

Make the next move the main event.

On a dedicated device, the board does not need to share its space with a feed, a work inbox or a collection of apps. Our intention is to keep the path short: pick up the device, choose how to play, and give the position your attention. The benefit is a clearer invitation to do what you came to do.

A different relationship with the game.

A physical object can become part of your surroundings. Leave it by your favourite chair. Take it to the café. Keep it near the place where you take a break. We want Chess, again to feel like something you reach for deliberately, whether you have time for a single puzzle or an unhurried game.

The phone still has its place.

A phone is convenient, and a full-size board has a charm of its own. A handheld sits somewhere between them: portable enough for everyday life, focused enough to feel like a choice. We are not asking you to give up the ways you already play. We are exploring another way to enjoy the same game.

A couple of useful questions.

Is it a replacement for my phone?

It is a dedicated chess concept, not a general-purpose phone. The goal is to give chess its own place alongside the devices you already use.

Why not use a traditional board?

You can. We love a physical board. This concept explores a smaller, portable option for practice, puzzles and connected play.
