Everyday attention

More time with the board. Less drifting away.

A healthier relationship with play can start with being more deliberate about how you spend a break. We are designing a place where you can choose chess, enjoy the session and put the device down when you are done.

Follow the project

Let a break feel like a choice.

A dedicated device could help make the intention clearer: this is time for a game. It does not need a feed to fill the moments between moves. Our goal is a focused environment where the position gets your attention and the rest of the day can wait for a little while.

A session can have an ending.

One puzzle. One game. A position you wanted to revisit. We like the idea of sessions with a clear purpose and a natural stopping point. We are exploring how the interface can encourage that rhythm without making play feel like an obligation or a checklist.

Comfort deserves real testing.

The concept uses a quiet monochrome display, but the final screen technology and its behaviour are still being evaluated. We do not claim medical benefits, reduced eye strain or improved sleep. Display comfort, readability and physical ergonomics need testing on hardware, and no screen replaces taking breaks when you need them.

A couple of useful questions.

Is this a medical or wellbeing product?

No. We are exploring a more intentional way to enjoy chess, not making a health treatment or promising health outcomes.

Does it eliminate eye strain or blue light?

We have not confirmed the display technology or made those claims. We will share tested display details when they are available.
