Game review · planned

There is another game inside the one you played.

The result tells you who won. The moves tell you how you got there. We are exploring a review experience that helps you return to a game and spend a little longer with the decisions that mattered.

Follow the project

Look at the moment again.

A review should make it easy to move through a game and stop at a position that caught your attention. Was the piece safe? Did you overlook a threat? Could the plan have changed? Our intention is to make the board the place where you revisit those questions, with straightforward navigation through the moves.

Understanding before a wall of numbers.

Evaluation can be useful, but a number on its own does not explain a position. We are considering how review tools could present alternatives clearly and keep any analysis optional. The scope of engine analysis, annotations and explanations remains part of development rather than a finished product promise.

Your games, handled clearly.

Saving a game, linking an account and importing a file are different capabilities. We will explain which of them the device supports, where information is stored and how you can manage it. Game history, PGN import/export and synchronisation are not confirmed for the first release.

A couple of useful questions.

Can I import my existing games?

Import and export options have not been confirmed. We will specify supported formats and services before orders open.

Will review require the internet?

The balance between local review and connected services is still being explored.
