Help when you ask for it.
We are exploring an optional way to highlight where a selected piece can move. It could help a new player get comfortable with the rules or help someone returning to chess read a position. Guidance should stay out of the way when you want to work through the board yourself.
A comfortable place to make mistakes.
Practice is a chance to try an idea and find out what happens. An adjustable opponent and a clear board could make that process more approachable. We are not promising a particular rating gain or a shortcut to improvement; we are working toward tools that make it easier to spend time with the game.
From the rules to your own questions.
Beginners need clear piece movement. Returning players may want familiar positions. More experienced players may want to look at alternatives. We are considering how one simple interface can support different levels without becoming a crowded lesson platform. Courses, coaching and detailed curriculum are not confirmed features.
